Happy (american) father's day

Hi dadi (H.B),

Today is father's day and I miss you very much. Even though it is American father's day (and we usually celebrate chinese father's day on Aug 8th), I still think of you a lot today. These are times when i realize what a great father and husband you were (and still are). Even when you were mad about something you would stop getting mad quickly and even say sorry for being in a bad mood. You barely got mad at me, even when you were sick and feeling uncomfortable all the time. And you would always remember special days and write the sweetest notes and cards. I wish I had always done the same for you, sometimes I would forget your birthday but you didn't even get mad at me for that. You would just give me another chance to remember your "Chinese" birthday. You were always good at making people feel better when they felt bad - you could cheer up anybody!

I dedicate every father's day (both Chinese and American) to you, the best dadi in the whole world. I miss talking to you about random things. Well, I still talk to you (whenever I am talking to myself). You deserve the happiest after-life because you had a great big heart and I will never forget you, huggable bear.

love your L.A. forever,
L.A. ;-)

In TaiwanI seldom remember that August 18th is the western father's day, so I missed it again this year. On August 8th, we will be in USA,I will remember this father's day( Could be my Jury Duty day?).
HB is really a great father. Since you were born, he took care of you anywhere you go (except the time he went abroad, even not with you he called all the times to make sure we were both in good conditions.) and whatever you do.
I remember he insisted to take the open heart surgery bravely because he said he wanted to live way over 60 to take good care of us. He suffered from that NTU hospital infection and you asked if father still alive when you were only three. At that time he survived from that serious hospital infection.
